Injury Prevention For
Utility Workers
Wherever the work takes your team, we make sure they’re ready for it.
Injury prevention built for the field.
Utility work doesn’t happen in one place. Crews gather in the morning and then they’re out. Different sites, different jobs, different physical demands depending on the day. A program that only works when everyone is under one roof isn’t built for the way utility teams actually work.
BIOKINETIX uses a train-the-leader model to put the warm-up in the hands of the crew leaders so it happens every morning, regardless of whether our program manager is there. We train those leaders, track how it’s going, and rotate through sites to coach, evolve the program, and work one-on-one with individuals in the field. We go where your people are.
The physical demands change with every job. Climbing, digging, operating heavy equipment, working in tight spaces and tough weather all put a lot of stress on the body. Our program managers build their approach around what each crew is doing so that the body is ready for whatever the day brings.
When something happens in the field while we’re with a different crew, our telehealth triage hotline means your people always have someone qualified to reach. Not a call center. An athletic trainer who understands the physical demands of utility work.

What Our Clients Say About Us
Senior Safety Specialist
"As a Safety Specialist, I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to see how the Functional Movement program helps our employees daily and in real time. Ever since the BIOKINETIX team started working with the employees of our company a few years back, I have witnessed a substantial improvement of worker mobility and an overall improvement in relief of existing ailments. I have personally watched the athletic trainers work with individuals to teach them the correct way to do certain injury prone tasks and am impressed by their dedication and detail shared with our team. I really can’t share enough positive thoughts around the Functional Movement program, but what I can say is that IT WORKS!"
Meter Technician
"The 3-Minute Warm-Up and corrective exercises seem to really help my upper body movement. Since I rely on upper body movement the program seems to help it quite a bit and the corrective exercises are engaging muscles I don’t typically use. They were even able to show me some exercises to improve my hamstring mobility, which seems to be working out really well and were better than the ones given to me by my physical therapist to all industrial athletes. It’s a must!"
FAQs
Why outsource injury prevention instead of bringing it in-house?
When you hire in-house, you get one person. When you partner with BIOKINETIX, you get the entire organization behind that person. Medical director oversight, dedicated supervisors, subject matter experts in ergonomics, strength and conditioning, and well-being, cross-industry best practices, and the institutional knowledge built from 20 years of programs across hundreds of clients.
Then there are staffing gaps. When an in-house person is sick, on vacation, or leaves the organization, the program stops. With BIOKINETIX, if an industrial athletic trainer needs to be replaced, the infrastructure and knowledge stay in place.
“Our safety manager can take it.” A safety manager who takes on injury prevention in-house is adding it to an already full plate. We make it our entire focus.
How do you handle injury response when your program manager is in the field with a different crew?
When something happens and our program manager is with a different crew, BIOKINETIX handles it through the telehealth triage hotline. The worker or crew leader calls the hotline and gets connected directly with an athletic trainer who understands the physical demands of utility work specifically. That person can walk them through an assessment over the phone, provide guidance on immediate care, and help them decide whether they need to go to a clinic or whether it can wait for the industrial athletic trainer to follow up in person.
